Stumped, what process/ Feature to use

Hey guys, I'm trying to recreate an emblem for my car and stuck trying to get its chamfer over to the 3d model and was wondering what y'all might suggest. I've tried the chamfer tool but it is way too touchy to work for this even if I split it up. Here is what I have so far.

How accurate does it need to be? When you extruded it (in the same command) could you have added draft to give a similar effect?

Tried it, works a little bit better than the chamfer tool but still not exactly what I'm looking for, its pretty deformed at points.
