2 issues:
1. I'm trying to import an AI CC 18 file into Solidworks 2013. I keep getting an error stating that I need CS3 or Later. When I save a copy from CS5, Solidworks still posts an error that the file is an unsupported file type.
2. I don't want to create outlines because I'm interested in keeping the 'live' text properties (font and kearning). I have tried exporting a .dxf from AI. When opened in SW, the text in an annotation and the properties are lost. I would like to minimize the alternate program steps to import into SW, to preserve the text edits from AI. Is there a viable work around?
