Hello Everyone,
I was having a problem with the motion simulation in Solidworks. I have created a ratchet in my assembly. In the motion simulation I am using the solidy body contact between the teeth and a flap located on the outer ring of the ratchet. However when I use the solid body contact on these two bodies they do not behave as solid bodies but rather more like a viscous liquid as the teeth will slide through the flap rather than pressing against it. However it does still transmit a small amount of force. I was just wondering if anyone was having similar problems with this and if there are any solutions.
Thank you
