Problems while printing: V5R18 Bug?

guillermo.mari

New member
This is the history:
1- We make the complete 2D
2- we send it to the printer
3- Some lines are not printed... not even in the print preview...
... so the result is the same with a PDF printer.

Problems with the printers are discarded; since the lines are not even shown in the print preview tool.

Any advice?
HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

Thanks on advance...
Guille

Guille, a couple questions

1. did this just start when you installed R18? (could you print OK with a previous release?)

2. do 3D parts and assemblies print OK?

3. does it happen with all printers, or just a single printer?

4. Are you printing drawings with Tools & Image Capture or File & Print?

Guille, a couple questions

1. did this just start when you installed R18? (could you print OK with a previous release?)

A: Only with R18... I've been working for almost 8 yrs with V5 since the R4 and never saw this bug.
2. do 3D parts and assemblies print OK?
A: Yes... only CATDrawings
3. does it happen with all printers, or just a single printer?
A: all printers; PDF too... Again: it's a CATIA problem since from the "print preview" I can see those lines not printed.
4. Are you printing drawings with Tools & Image Capture or File & Print?
A: Always printing with File & Print since I need on scale printings for the workshop.

Normally happens with some curves, rarely with straight lines.

Thanks for the responses. It does sound like a software bug.

You should submit a APAR (problem report) with the company you purchased CATIA from.
