Kinematics: Moving multiple parts with a single slider?

Hi!

I'm trying to move multiple parts along multiple joints with a single command, but I have no idea how to go about this. My professor said he was only able to do it once but he forgot how he did it; he mentioned the Point To Surface Joint, and I'm playing around with it, but I just can't figure it out.

I made this as a quick mock-up to explain what I'm talking about:

How would I move those 4 fingers simultaneously with a single slider in the Kinematics workbench? I can move them independently from each other with multiple sliders, and with the "On Request" option I can actually make them move at the same time, but I want to have the 4 joints under 1 slider.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

It's been awhile since I did any kinematic simulations. There is some good information in the Online Help. Search for "Sequencing Mechanisms with Laws" for instructions similar to your mechanism.

My professor mentioned the Point To Surface Joint

I'm guessing he added an extra part, the horizontal face of the part passing through the upper centerpoints of each finger. Then add a Point-To-Surface joint for each finger. By lifting this extra part, all the fingers will rotate up or down. Once you get everything working, hide the extra part.
