I have a job interview consisting CATIA V5 GSD. How can I prepare in 5 days?

I have been using catia since 2 years but only part design assembly and litte bit GSD. How can I prepare myself for CATIA V5 GSD test

5 days isn't enough time to become an expert in GSD. But you might want to find a couple GSD tutorials to go through - hopefully something in the same industry (automotive, aerospace, ???) as the company you're interviewing with. When the hiring manager sees that you only have 2 years experience with CATIA, he/she will already have a good understanding of your skill level. I suggest you focus on the skills you currently have (Part Design and Assembly) and impress them with your foundation for learning more advanced things like GSD, composites, sheetmetal, etc based on their specific industry.

Good luck with the interview!

Thank you for your advice, by the way I faced a problem now while I am using GSD, I made an surface ant tried to ''close surface'' to make it solid. But catia did not allow me to do it. Because I made this surface in geometrical sets in the tree and try to make surface in part body. How can I avoid this problem and make my surface solid?

Actually I now succeded by making join first and I use volume comments in GSD instead of thick surface or close surface. Is there any difference between them? because is looks purple when ı used volumes comments

If you have more than 1 surface, you must Join them into a single surface before using Close Surface

If you only have one surface, then use a different tool; maybe Thick Surface or Split.

Yes, the purple Volume is NOT a solid that can be used with Part Design Features.

CATIA V5 Volumes are a carry-over from the early V4 releases of CATIA when the solid modeling wasn't very powerful or useful, like it is now. The good news is that V4 Volume data can be converted to V5. The not so good news is there isn't much need for them anymore. I've heard rumors that one reason Volume geometry was added to CATIA V5 was because Toyota insisted on having them so they could convert their legacy data to CATIA V5.

Volumes use a Boundary-Rep method of defining a 3D part, based on faces (resulting in a skin/ shell of the part). Solids use a Constructive-Solid-Geometry (CSG) method based on primitive shapes (like Pads and Pockets).
