3D to 2D conversion

Is it possible to import a 3D part into the drafting tool of CATIA so that it is automatically converted into multiple 2D drawings? I have heard that Pro/E can do it, but I was assigned the task of doing it with CATIA. If this is possible, please tell me how to do it. Thanks!
 
Yes! You've described the basis of the Generative Drafting workbench. This workbench includes a View Wizard that makes all the standard drawing views based on the 3D part and/or product.
