I am animating a wire (a cylinder with another cylinder inside); with clear plastic in a helix wire down the middle of it. I have made the wires using splines converted to meshes with some level of detail. When I try to animate the spline using splineIK and bones, but you end up with kinks at the point at which the bones join. Can any one suggest a best way to get smooth deformations of a spline?
