Auto-Triggering *.ipt files (inside inventor) with Java?

Hi,
I am new to this forum. I am working on a graduate thesis research wherein I need to trigger the opening of several individual (*.ipt) part files inside Inventor if certain conditions are met. I am planning to use java as the software. However I am not sure of how I can trigger the automatic opening of the part files. I would be grateful if anycome can provide me with some valuable information on how to proceed.
