Changing text styles?

Hi,
I have set up a text style in my styles editor. When I add text in an IDW file, It always comes with "note text (ansi)" as the default, I use the drop down to change it to the style I set up. When I am finished, and exit sketch, it defaults back to note text. Later I can manually change it back, but why will it not hold the style I selected to add it with?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Beatrice,
Look in the Object Defaults in your Styles. Go to Format Menu->Styles Editor and here is the defaults for each object are stored/defined.
