Edit Text Query

In acad 2006, when I try to edit single line text, the edit window is exactly the size of the text that I am trying to edit. In acad 2004, a large, readable window opened up over the drawing. Is there a setting I can change in 2006? Thanx, Expo3Dave.

Try zooming in on the text area before you start to edit and the window will take up your screen.

You could try the following
type in 'Texted' at the command line and then type in 'oldeditor'

If I am correct you are describing two different types of text.

The Single Line of text is DTEXT (Dynamic Text) it only edits a single line of text.

The other box that you are decribing is MTEXT (or Multi-Line Text).

If you explode the MTEXT you end up with the DTEXT. You can reverse this if you Use a special Lisp routine to bring multiple lines of DTEXT back into MTEXT. Hope this helps.
