No, dxf is 2d, you need to use IGES, STEP or STL for a polygon file. There are ways to transfer this info from mechanical to artist world through some translator, I'm not sure of the path, hopefully some else knows a path.

The Program is called Poser and I was told it can take BVH or DXF. I am not actually using the program an associate is taking care of that. I am taking care of the solidworks side.

We have some Poser resources here on 3DCADTips.com. I'll look into it further. So you're saying that Poser only imports BVH and DXF and not IGES or STEP or STL? I'll post what I can dig up.
