Finding Re-Used Parts In A Large Assembly

I'm new to the Engineering field and could use some help from you guys. Here is my problem: My assignment was to re-name an assembly and all the parts that were included in it, then make prints for everything. The problem that I'm running into is that some of the parts are re-used and messing up the BOM and all the sub-assemblies. Is there a way to find out where and how many times the part is used? It would not be a big problem, but the assembly has 175+ parts. Any clues?

Is your Main Assy. made-up of multiple Sub-Assy's?

Where are you located? here in the States?

Please contact me via e-mail, so that I can help you.

Thank you for your time.
