From 2D drawing to 3D part

I am dimensioning a drawing and need to go back to the 3D part (only the drawing is open). I already know ‘edit/links and doubleclick the part’ can do this. But is there a faster and better way?

faster than doubling clicking the part? Hmm off the top of my head you can probably create a VBA macro to do the function that you want. Then set it as a button and give it a hot key. But you know you'll only save a few seconds or second, so it depends how often you do it to make it worth making a macro for it.

EDIT + LINKS is the only way I know to open the pointed document.

Once it's open, you can tile the windows to quickly work between the 3D and Drawing
