Geometrical Sets

I am working with data that has been translated from UG to iges.
In Catia, I get a geometrical set that appears joined. I do not
see the separate items in the tree.

My partners in crime want unfolded sheetmetal parts. Is there
a way I can get Catia to recognize the incoming data in sheetmetal?

Normally, IGES files convert into CATIA as surface geometry which has to be joined or healed together into a single envelope, and then converted into a Solid ClosedSurface element.

Once you have a solid, you might be able to convert that into a sheetmetal format and then unfold it into it's flat pattern.
