How do I import an object file

How can I import an .OBJ file in Catia, while it has been designed in Catia as well. I found such files somewhere but they are in .OBJ format.
 
You should follow these steps..
Open assembly workbench and click insert and then click on existing component now select the .obj file...
I think it should work.
