How to measure the wet area of a complex parts assembly

ladauf

New member
Hi !
I have to estimate the aerodynamic loads applied on an aircraft landing gear. The landing gear product I am working on is very complex. It's an assembly of 50 or 60 parts.
I need to get the wet area of this assembly in order to assess the aero loads. How to do that quickly ? Which tool can I use ?

thanks for your help

sorry for the delay,

Total outside surface area (or wetted area) can be analyzed with the Measure Item tool (caliper icon) and selecting the product. The Measure Inertia (weight icon) also provides the same area analysis.
