Yes, CATIA has several products that can be used for finite-element based analysis. GPS (Generative Part Stress) and GAS (Generative Assembly Stress) are quick and easy to use, but not as powerful as NASTRAN/PATRAN.
I think it would be well worth the time to learn. (most engineering students are taught FEA as part of the standard curriculum)
