Metal Foam

mayur

Newbie
Hello ,
I am relatively new to CATIA . I work on CFD ( compuational fluid Dynamics ) . I am doing a research that involves a metalic foam . I need it for a simulation . I wanted to know if there is a way to generate CAD for the metalic foam ( metalic matrix , like a metallic sponge ) .
Thanks

You can definitely define the shape of the foam with CATIA (or the shape that the foam flows through) and you could calulate the mass properties of the foam based on the foam's density, but I don't think that's what your asking.

I guess it depends on which CFD software you are using to analyze the foam?
