Can anyone tell me if there are any problems converting Microstation drawings (architecural drawings) to Autocad (2006) and if so how are they overcome?
Microstation can likely save its drawings as *.DWG files. AutoCAD will then open them directly preserving most if not all geometry and formatting. Most all CAD systems today do this. If not *.DWG, then try *.STL next.
In V8 go to Settings|Design File...| and set Active Scale to 1.0 before converting to .dwg. It's one less hassle figuring out why the .dwg file didn't open up at the correct scale.
