New design from previous work

I need help from the CAD community. I am in a legal battle with an ex boss in labor court. He agreed to pay me for each drawing. Now he says that he owes me nothing since drawings/parts were made by changing a previous model. Of course I did. They are good starting points. I need to hear from about jobs or drawings made that were started from a previous model where both are bill-able. It would be great if you could email me a pdf of both drawings so I can take these to the court to show the arbitrator. Or if you can post your comments.
I work in Solidworks, but the same principle would apply to any platform.

So grateful for any information you can supply.
