I thought I posted this earlier but can't find the post so I'm thinking that maybe I forgot.
I have a shaft that is fixed at both ends. The shaft is made of stainless steel. The only loading it has is due to its weight. I enabled gravity. The SolidWorks results give a deflection of 0.00529 m. I did some theoretical calculations and I get a result of 0.0255 m. I'm not sure if my value for q in my theoretical calculations are correct.
Can someone review my work and see if I set up the simulation correctly or if my q value is correct. It would be greatly appreciated as I have been banging my head over this.
Attached is a zip file containing the files.
