Sheet metal

Hi,
1. If we want to convert a part developed in part design to sheet metal, can we and should we use
-Sheet Metal Production workbench and convert to walls and cutouts and then work in generative sheet metal workbench.
2.I also want to know that suppose if the part is of non-uniform thickness how to convert into sheet metal.
Thanx

1. It would be better to use the Generative Sheetmetal Design workbench only to convert and modify the existing design. Instead of converting, it would be best to start over and remodel the entire part with the Generative Sheetmetal Design or the Aerospace Sheetmetal workbenchs.

2. All CATIA sheetmetal workbenches work with parts that have uniform sheet thickness. Parts with varying wall thickness, must be modeled in the Part Design workbench.
