Thread View Problem

I am having problem with the display of threads. The problem has only just occured but i am unable to find a cause. When I model a thread on to a shaft, I do not see the thread, I have also lost the ability to 'display thread feature' within an .idw. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check whether you have turned off the "Show Reflections and Textures" option in the application options.
