Using pre-defined Section View in drawings

Hello

I would like to create a section measured from the model origin and save it as a drawing.
I know I can save the Sections under a name within my assembly, then I can access them when I create a drawing view (Under Orientation -> More Views).

But I dont actually get the section in that case, I get a random 3D view of the model

Section Views

It depends on your method. If you are trying to create a section at a specific within the model, you could just simply create a configuration where you use a cut-extrude to cut away the removed portion of the section. Create a new view in the model that is zoomed in and normal to your new cutting plane. That view can then be added to a drawing as you already have done.
