Using slot

.i would like to remove material from a solid but using slot gives me material on a solid..rib does that not slot....what should i do.

Are you using a "body" for making a slot ? there is no way slot will add material otherwise.

Have you used a "Body" for creating the slot feature ?

Sounds like you have a negative body, which reverses the polarity of all solid features within that body.

It's hard to recommend a solution without knowing what you are trying to model. Can you send us some screen shots, including the tree.

You might be able to correct the polarity by re-ordering the features from the negative body into the PartBody.

Another solution might be to Remove the negative body from the PartBody.
