Version compatibility

Hello,

My school has "SolidWorks 2007 SP4" installed, and I want to make sure the student version I buy is fully compatible with this version. Will "SolidWorks Student Edition 2007-2008" be compatible?

Yes and no

Any drawing created or saved in the Student Version will always be tagged as such, even when opened in full versions of SW.

all solidworks products are only upward compatable. 7 to 7 or 7 to 8 not 8 to 7 etc. as fcsuper stated, student versions are student versions, not for professional or commercial use. student version output can not be edited in the full sw version software.
